The Role
We are seeking a motivated Consultant to join our Sustainability, Energy & Raw Materials practice, with a focus on sustainability, environment, and circular economy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Association management with a special focus on:
- coordination of working group roadmap and deliverables with members & partners
- meeting organisation, attendance, facilitation and follow-up;
- internal secretariat coordination and liaison with association leaders;
- develop related positions to regulators and standardisation bodies;
- Research and analyse EU policy developments related to sustainability and circular economy policy frameworks, and assess their impact on clients’ business models and value chains
- Provide clients with timely, evidence-based insights and deliver client-ready briefings, translating complex technical and regulatory developments into clear strategic implications
- Build and maintain a strong network across EU institutions & industry stakeholders
- Attend key policy meetings and industry events and report insights
- Collaborate with other teams on campaigns
- Support business development and asset conferences
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- Master’s degree in European Affairs, Environment or Sustainability fields
- At least 6 months of professional experience in relation to EU sustainability and environmental policy frameworks (circular economy, packaging, bioeconomy, textiles, waste)
- Experience in an industry association management would be a plus
- Understanding of circular/bioeconomy economy value chains (e.g. materials, textiles, construction, packaging, etc.)
- Well organised, attention to detail is a must
- Fluent in English (native or equivalent) + proficiency in at least one other EU language
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong research skills, ability to synthesise information and extract key messages
- Proactive with a collaborative, can-do attitude
- Eligible to work in the EU
