What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Trainee Consultant with experience and interest in design to join our Communications team.
The role includes drafting campaigns, messages and presentations in an appealing and visually aesthetic way – while still being relevant for the audience.
The selected candidate should besides having a creative drive, have an interest in policy communications and a passion for good storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Draft compelling content for various communication channels (e.g. social media, websites, invitations)
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate representation of clients’ ideas and needs, combining policy messages and innovative, creative formats.
- Help drafting and developing power point presentations, with an ability to present data and information in an appealing way.
- Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns, creating images and visual identities.
- Support the planning and coordination of events, press conferences and gatherings, both in person and virtual.
- Support in taking photos and video material.
Essential:
- EU national or Belgian work permit holder.
- Bachelor / Master degree in marketing, communications, political science or another relevant field with strong interest in design.
- Native-level command of English, additional language skills are an asset.
- A previous traineeship or experience in strategic communications, marketing and/or design. Candidates without experience in this sector will not be considered.
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Comfortable working with a camera and basic video editing.
- Creativity and eagerness to explore new means of communication.
- A strong eye for aesthetics and attention to details.
- Strong presentation skills – ability to present information in a clear and visually appealing way.
- Ability to work in a team, whilst at the same time carrying out own tasks independently and to agreed deadlines.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in organising events, social media campaigns, community engagement.
- Experience working with media, news, politics.
