About CLEPA

We are the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, representing the voice of an innovative industry driving safe, smart, and sustainable mobility across Europe.

The Position

For this highly interesting and varied role, we seek an individual with a willingness to develop quickly in a fast-paced environment, an affinity with automotive technology solutions, and an interest in regulatory affairs within an international setting.

Importantly, the candidate must have a genuine interest in road transport and mobility, particularly in terms of reducing its environmental impact, with a focus on low-emission propulsion systems (e.g. advanced emissions control, electric & fuel-cell vehicles, hydrogen, synthetic and renewable fuels), decarbonisation, and life-cycle-assessment for road transport vehicles and their constituent systems and components.

Although not mandatory, prior working experience leading to an understanding of the principles for system type-approval or technical product certification or standardisation, and of European legislative processes, is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

·       Support and facilitate the daily organisation of the CLEPA team, and specifically the Technical Regulations Department, and various working groups, including efficient and effective meeting preparation (agenda, minutes, research, follow-up, etc.);

·       Help drive key regulatory developments in the automotive sector, and support delivering on specific projects and dossiers;

·       Monitor the development of European and international automotive regulations, policies and trends;

·       Monitor and contribute to the activities of various key stakeholder groups, and assess the coherency with respect to the strategic aims of CLEPA members;

·       Help research, develop, and communicate CLEPA’s positions to inform institutions and other stakeholders, while maintaining good relations with government representatives and institutions such as the European Commission, United Nations, and standardisation bodies;

·       Manage the various dossiers and corresponding documentation and help prepare international meetings with technical experts and external stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

·       University degree in Engineering, ideally Automotive, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

·       Good verbal and written communication skills in English (additional knowledge of other languages is a plus).

·       Positive, pro-active, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude.

·       Enthusiastic team player with ability to support groups in a consensus-oriented way.

·       Availability to travel on short trips mostly within the EU.

What CLEPA Offers

·       A highly visible role shaping the future of European mobility, within a dynamic team and competitive compensation package.

·       The opportunity to build solid experience at the interface between industry and policy.

·       Excellent prospects for medium to long-term career development.

·       Hybrid working conditions and an inclusive, collaborative work environment.
