Together with Stantec (leader of the consortium), GIZ International Services is implementing the Global Technical Assistance Facility for Sustainable Energy. The overall objective of the Facility is to contribute to establishing the necessary conditions for achieving the SDG 7 goals in sustainable energy and possible interlinkages with other SDGs. It will as well contribute to the SDG 13 goals related to climate action in Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI) eligible countries with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa.
The specific purpose of the contract is to deliver high-level technical assistance and policy advice at country, regional and global level through expert missions that will be mobilised at short notice to support committed countries and partners to reach the SDG7 objectives. It supports developing countries to improve their policy and regulatory framework conditions aiming at providing attractive and enabling conditions for increased public and private investment in energy access, renewable energy as well as energy efficiency taking into account climate change, gender and health impacts.
We are currently looking for a Quality and Knowledge Manager, who will be in charge of the quality assurance and quality control, knowledge management and capitalization of projects, in close cooperation with the project team.
Job description
Responsibilities for:
· Preparing guidelines on quality-related expectations.
· Proofreading and quality assurance/verification of all reports and project outputs/deliverables.
· Identification, recording and classification of knowledge elements.
· Dissemination of knowledge products.
· Mobilisation of ad hoc quality assurance support from consortium partners.
Your profile
Qualifications and skills
· Bachelor’s degree (3 years) in business administration, project management, knowledge management, international affairs, international development (or other related field), or equivalent relevant professional experience.
· Demonstrated ability to process and manage large data flows in an accurate manner.
· Demonstrated ability to review, do quality check of and edit documents.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· English and French proficiency at C1&2 level, both speaking and writing.
· Knowledge of Spanish language will be considered an asset.
General professional experience
· A minimum of two years of experience in the fields of international cooperation and development, including in an area such as project management, monitoring and evaluation, and/or operational activities of development institutions.
Specific professional experience
· A minimum of one year of professional experience in the field of climate change and/or sustainable energy.
· A minimum of one year working on EU-funded projects or programmes.
Notes:
· The position is available as soon as possible.
· We offer a full-time employment contract in Belgium under CP200.
