About Seldia:
Seldia, the European Direct Selling Association, advocates for a responsible and ethical consumer-driven Direct Selling industry in the EU, representing almost 200 European companies that are members of our National Direct Selling Association network. We have been the leading association representing the European Direct Selling sector towards EU institutions since 1968, encompassing 14 leading companies, 23 National Direct Selling Associations, 11 service providers, and 5.4 million independent entrepreneurs across Europe.
Main Responsibilities:
We are looking for an EU Public Affairs Intern to support our team. The internship will involve assisting with the work of the association, particularly monitoring and analysing EU initiatives. The main tasks are as follows:
- Contribute to research, monitoring, and analysis of policy issues and legislation, particularly in the areas of consumer and digital policy.
- Support Seldia’s engagement in the work of associations and organisations of which we are members.
- Attend external meetings and report back.
- Assist with stakeholder mapping and outreach to relevant contacts.
- Provide administrative and communication support to the association, including drafting meeting minutes and newsletter, preparing presentations, organising meetings and events, and following up on members’ requests.
Candidate Profile:
- A university degree in a relevant field, such as European Studies, International Relations, Political Science or Law.
- Knowledge of, and a keen interest in, EU policy and decision-making processes. Knowledge of consumer legislation would be an asset.
- Excellent command of English. Knowledge of additional EU languages, particularly French, would be an asset.
- A proactive team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience (up to one year) in public affairs within an EU institution, regulatory body, trade association, advocacy organisation (NGO), company, or consultancy would be desirable, but is not essential.
Offer:
- Internship contract (Convention d’immersion professionnelle) for 6 months, renewable for an additional 6 months, starting in September 2026.
- Monthly remuneration: €1,095.
