Policy Manager – Environment & Feed Safety, and Secretary of a National Association
FEDIOL, the association representing the European Vegetable Oil and Proteinmeal Industry and a key player in the food and feed value chain, is seeking a Policy Manager who will also serve as Secretary for a national member organisation. The position is based in Brussels and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Environmental, Climate & Feed Policy (FEDIOL)
In this part of the role, you will manage a portfolio of EU policy dossiers related to:
- Environmental and climate legislation (e.g., Industrial Emissions, Emissions Trading System)
- Feed-related issues, including feed safety and labelling
You will:
- Report directly to the Director General of FEDIOL
- Coordinate technical and policy input with experts from several internal working groups
- Monitor legislative developments, draft positions, and represent the association in relevant forums
2. Secretary & Representative of Liprobel (Belgium)
For the national association Liprobel, you will act as its Secretary and industryrepresentative. In this capacity, you will:
- Prepare, organise and report on board meetings in coordination with the Chairman
- Support the board with strategic and regulatory insights
- Represent the Belgian industry towards public authorities and private stakeholders
- Ensure smooth communication between members and external partners
Your Profile
The ideal candidate:
- Understands the regulatory landscape relevant to the industry
- Is fluent in Dutch, French, and English
- Possesses strong verbal communication skills and concise, accurate writing abilities
- Is comfortable developing and maintaining a professional network
- Works well both autonomously and as part of a team
- Is able to prioritise, take initiative, and manage multiple dossiers simultaneously
- Experience as a policy manager within the vegetable oils, proteinmeal, food, or feedsectors is a plus
