Membership & Communications Officer (part-time- 4 days/week)
We are looking for a Membership & Communications Officer to support the day-to-day operations of EUnited. This is a dynamic and varied role combining membership management, administration, communications and event coordination. The position is based in the EUnited office in Brussels and offers a central and visible role within a European industry association.
Main responsibilities
Membership & stakeholder engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for members, responding to enquiries and ensuring a high level of service
- Manage and update the membership database and ensure accurate records
- Support membership recruitment, onboarding and retention activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members and coordinate member engagement initiatives and communications.
Communications
- Develop and implement communication activities to increase the association’s visibility and member engagement
- Create and publish content across digital channels (social media, website, members area, newsletter) and monitor performance using analytics tools
- Support communication around events, publications and association activities
Events & Meetings
- Liaise with venues, suppliers and service providers in relation to the organisation of the annual General Assembly and support the organisation of other association events
- Manage registrations and participant communications
- Provide onsite support and follow-up
Administration & Finance
- Support the efficient running of the association and Brussels office
- Manage membership invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments
- Register incoming invoices and prepare payments
- Assist with budget monitoring and financial reporting
Your profile
- Relevant studies in communication, business administration or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Relevant experience in communications, membership management, administration or similar role
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and drafting skills in English (additional languages are an asset)
- Good knowledge of digital and communication tools (Canva, WordPress, Linkedin, CRM databases, Microsoft Office (including Excel))
- Team player, proactive, service oriented and able to work independently
- Experience in a European association or membership-based organisation is an asset
- Right to live and work in Belgium
What we offer
- A part-time (4 days/week) indefinite contract under Belgian law
- A diverse and hands-on role with autonomy and responsibility in an international working environment
- The position is based in Brussels with occasional travel within the EU
- Salary range: €2,000-€2,200 gross/month, depending on experience, with additional benefits: meal vouchers, ecocheques, public transport contribution, hospitalisation and group insurance.
