MedTech Europe is looking for an intern to join its legal and compliance department.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and researching national legal and self-regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare industry (e.g. anti-bribery, promotion & advertising, privacy, austerity measures (e.g. payback), etc.)
- Providing day-to-day support to the legal & compliance team (e.g. coordinating input for internal and external newsletters, review, drafting and filing contracts; taking minutes; organising meetings; updating website, etc.)
- Updating its annual publication on country rules on compliance, which includes liaising with all National Association members as well as desk research
- Managing vendor and other contracts, incl. identifying and resolving standard contractual concerns with relevant colleagues
- Assisting, as needed, in the review and evaluation of Events in the Conference Vetting System to ensure compliance with MedTech Europe’s and EFPIA’s ethical standards set out in the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Practice and the EFPIA Healthcare Professionals Code of Practice, under the supervision of the CVS Compliance Officer and the Compliance Panel
- Assisting, when necessary, the Legal & Compliance team with activities as well as support the team and relevant committees on legal, privacy and/or healthcare compliance issues
Must-haves
- Completed BA in Law
- Fluent in oral and written English + at least one other EU language
- Excellent research and drafting skills
- IT-tools proficient
- Well organised and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in an autonomous way and look for support when necessary
- Eligible to work as a trainee in Belgium
- Strong communication skills, especially written
- Nice to have: Interest in compliance, ethics and the healthcare industry
