European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam) is looking for an Intellectual Property (IP) Business Advisor based in Ho Chi Minh City.
EuroCham Vietnam has been implementing an initiative of the European Commission called the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk (SEA HD). The SEA HD supports European SMEs / intermediary organisations to both protect and enforce their intellectual property (IP) rights in or relating to South-East Asia through the provision of free information and services.

MAIN DUTIES
- Manage the SEA HD enquiry helpline and provide first line, expert advisory services to European SMEs or intermediary organizations on IP protection and enforcement in SEA; and Draft case studies for the European Commission and manage the network of External IP Experts in Europe and SEA.
- Deliver regular IP trainings in Vietnam and in other priority markets across SEA plus ensure the quality of trainings delivered by External IP Experts.
- Represent the SEA HD at trade fairs, matchmaking events to provide first-line advice and assistance on IP matters to European SMEs and intermediary organizations.
- Monitor relevant IP developments affecting SMEs (including legislation and case law) in SEA and draft high-level reports for the European Commission.
- Produce or support producing state-of-the-art IP-related publications and ensure quality plus proofreading of all IP-related content of the SEA HD.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Training Background: Master degree or equivalent in Law, Business Administration or a related field is required; specialization in IP is preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of practical working experience related to IP;
- Extensive knowledge and proven understanding of legal systems, especially regarding IP protection and enforcement in South-East Asia;
- High level of experience of monitoring and evaluating legal developments, quality assurance, people management and partnership;
- Experience in producing training materials (onsite and online seminars, workshops, awareness raising activities) and publications would be a significant plus;
- Experience in dealing with multinational stakeholders (from all levels of importance) and experts based in different countries is required, experience and knowledge of South-East Asian cultures is preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- A track record of successfully working with European corporate and institutional stakeholders is preferred. Knowledge about EU laws is an asset.
- Confident in presenting complex topics as well as handling confidential one-to-one IP consultations.
- Ability to establish meaningful working relationships and excellent networking skills.

Languages: Full proficiency in English (C2 equivalent, working language) is required, proficiency in other EU languages is an asset.
Software and Package Skills: Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Skills with software and databases are preferred.
