IBRO is seeking a Grants & Events Intern to support the administration and delivery of its international grants, training programs, and programmatic events.

This paid, full-time internship is designed for professionals with prior work experience who are seeking to retrain or transition into the non-profit, grants administration and event coordination sector. The role offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in the operations of a global scientific organization that supports neuroscience researchers worldwide. 

Working closely with IBRO’s Grants, Programs and Events team, the Intern will contribute to both grants and programs administration and the coordination of virtual and in-person events. The role combines detailed administrative and data-focused work with event and participant coordination in an international scientific environment, with both areas being equally important and offering a varied and balanced workload across different responsibilities and activities.

What you will do

Grants & Programs

  • Support the administration of application cycles and maintain accurate program metrics and reporting records
  • Support data management, trackers and documentation, and compile information for program monitoring and reporting
  • Update publicly available program information and support communications with applicants and grantees

Events & Meetings

  • Support event planning and logistics, including preparing meeting and participant materials
  • Coordinate speaker and participant administration, communications and documentation
  • Support event delivery and follow-up, including registrations, participant data, feedback and reporting

Contract details

  • Type: Paid internship under the Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (CIP)
  • Duration: Up to 1 year (1 year preferred)
  • Eligibility: Open to those holding a valid EU work permit for the duration of the internship
  • Location: IBRO Secretariat, Brussels, Belgium (relocation is required)
  • Start Date: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
