The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (ALDE Party) is a European political party that brings together parties with common liberal, democrat and reform ideas from more than 40 European countries. The Brussels-based ALDE Party Secretariat supports the activities of the Party; organises its meetings; manages its external communication; and facilitates European policy development and networking amongst liberal parties.
To support activities, we are now seeking a dynamic and motivated Events Trainee to support our events and engagement activities with key stakeholders, both domestically and across the European Union. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced political environment, where you will help organise high-impact events and strengthen relationships with our partners, corporate sponsors, and broader networks.
Main responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of political events, including the upcoming Congress 2026 and Council 2026 and networking sessions across Europe.
- Provide logistical support for events, such as venue selection, catering, and registration processes.
- Work side by side with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Assist with the preparation of briefing materials, reports and managing contact database.
Profile:
- Master’s degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, International Relations, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in event planning, public relations, corporate engagement, or related roles, ideally within a political, NGO, or corporate setting.
- Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in any another European language is a strong asset.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to travel across Europe when required.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, depending on the event schedule.
