smartEn is the European business association representing the Flexible Demand Management Industry. Our 100+ members create opportunities for every home, car and business to support a reliable and decarbonised EU energy system by activating their demand-side flexibility.
You will be part of a dynamic, professional international team in the EU area in Brussels. Your tasks will focus on operational aspects within office management and event logistics.
Main responsibilities:
- Support in the logistics of (physical/virtual) events and (public/private) meetings run by smartEn and with partners.
- Assist the smartEn team with travel arrangements, general office operations, and administrative tasks.
- Support in the onboarding of new team members.
Desired skills and experience:
- Interest in playing an active part in the clean energy transition.
- A relevant education or experience in business/office administration, operations management, or hospitality, or any field pertinent to this internship description.
- Service-oriented approach in view of providing a great experience for smartEn members, including technical support.
- Attention to detail, ability to pre-empt challenges in events.
- Proactive, team player, and good interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter and autonomous in approaching work.
- Able to respect deadlines and tight timing with critical attention to detail.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, and conversational French or Dutch.
- Must be eligible to work in Belgium and be based in Brussels or its surroundings.
What we offer:
- A 6-month contract within the “Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (CIP)” with a monthly remuneration of 1.055,94€/mois. Start date June 2026.
- This position offers teleworking two days a week (Monday and Friday), with the remaining days spent in the office.
