The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies is currently looking for an experienced Community Development & Operations Manager for its office in Brussels.
EANS: A professional community to enhance the quality of neurosurgical patient care through training, education and research.
EANS is a fast-growing, independent association of European neurosurgical societies and individual neurosurgeons from all over the world. EANS aims to enable its members to enhance the care they deliver to their patients by facilitating the exchange of scientific information at the highest level. In pursuit of this goal, EANS arranges a wide range of meetings, symposia and educational courses, including the European Congress of Neurosurgery and the highly regarded European Training Courses in Neurosurgery.
Short Description: The EANS Community Development & Operations Manager fosters engagement with EANS members, supports Sections, Committees, Task Forces, as well as events and educational programmes, and drives development initiatives to strengthen the Association’s visibility and growth.

The EANS Community Development & Operations Manager should be based in Brussels and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Liaison with the EANS Individual Members, daily usage of the EANS Membership Platform, engagement in the IM mailing and surveys
- Liaison with and support the work of the Individual Membership (IM) Committee and its Chair: working group operations, communication, reports, business meetings, elections
- Support the EANS Committees, Sections and Task Forces, to increase their activity and visibility: day-to-day administrative tasks, business meetings, newsletters, webpage content
- Organisation of the Association’s webinars
- Attendance at the EANS Annual Congress, as well as other events, courses and meetings to support event managers and promote membership
- Support the EANS Director in the administration of the Association affairs: elections, voting, panel compositions, general meetings, activity reports and action plans
The EANS Community Development & Operations Manager must have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Minimum language capacity: full professional English and communicative French
- Willingness to make 5-8 trips annually within Europe
- Team spirit
- Strong organisational, analytical and multitasking skills
