The European Federation of Building Societies (EF) is a European association representing the interests of specialist credit institutions focused on the financing of home ownership. As the central point of contact for EU decision-makers, we are committed to shaping a stable and sustainable financing environment in Europe.
To strengthen our European office in Brussels, we are looking for a committed Policy Officer (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
- Monitoring and analysing relevant EU initiatives and legislative processes
- Drafting statements and position papers on EU measures
- Preparing reports on current trends and developments in the field of European financial policy
- Maintaining and expanding the network with EU institutions and banking associations
- Organising and attending specialist events, meetings and conferences
Your profile
- A degree in law, economics or European studies
- Excellent analytical skills and a structured and precise approach to work
- Very good knowledge of European law, sustainability regulations, banking supervisory law or EU consumer protection (desirable)
- Excellent written and spoken German and English (knowledge of other languages an advantage)
- An understanding of EU procedures and experience with political processes would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills and a confident manner when dealing with international stakeholders
- Initiative, team spirit and reliability
