Your role

This is a position which requires good communication instinct, but also interest in complex issues and topics and the ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders and audiences. Your capacity to learn and assess independently will be as important as what you have learned and achieved so far.
You will help to generate a flow of new client revenues by developing our work for existing clients, identifying new client opportunities and working as part of new business teams.
As a Consultant, you ensure that client satisfaction is maintained at the highest level through wise counsel, deep knowledge, strong relationships and carefully planned and implemented projects.

  • Plan and deliver broad-based communications programmes to achieve a client’s objectives.

  • Demonstrate an astute grasp of business and client issues, and use this knowledge to anticipate and solve client challenges.
  • Responsible for retention of assigned clients, cross-selling services, and external promotion of services.

  • Develop trust with clients and deepen the consulting relationship.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Corporate Communications, ideally within a consulting firm.
  • Experience in developing and executing digital and social media communication strategies.
  • Experience of public affairs and issues management.
  • Knowledge of Belgian and international media landscape.
  • A proven ability to deliver projects despite delays, changes in direction or revised budgets.
  • Superior French and English writing skills and proven experience in positions that required writing and editing of messages, reports, articles, briefings, speeches and other materials.
  • Fluent French speaker is a must and a good command of Dutch is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to new tasks and deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Client-focused – someone who will go the extra mile.
  • Quality focused with a keen eye for detail.
