At the end, Altertox mostly focuses on 1R “replacement”. Based on its strong expertise in NAMs (New Approach Methods) with the up-to-date technologies and the best experts, Altertox has developed a large portfolio in the area of alternatives to animal testing and research. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a social media manager to administer our social media accounts and the EU projects where Altertox is PI. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts, responding to followers, producing the newsletters.

Ideally you have good notions about website design/maintenance and google analytics. Skills on videos and podcasts production and edition is a plus.

As a social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

You will be under the supervision of a senior communication officer to perform your tasks.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
• Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
• Set specific objectives and report on ROI
• Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, memes, gifs, blogs, videos and news)
• Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
• Collaborate with other teammates in charge of EU projects to ensure brand consistency
• Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
• Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Linkedin timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
• Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
• Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Work experience as a social media manager
• Hands-on experience in content management
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
• Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
• Familiarity with mailchimp, web design, podcasts and video editing
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to details
• Analytical and multitasking skills
• MSc degree in any relevant field

JOB WORKING CONDITIONS

The position is ideally based in Belgium (home or hybrid office to be discussed). It is a part-time position. Social benefits will be described during the job interview. The annual salary amount and starting date are open to discussion.
