Senior or principal consultant in the Security & Justice policy domain

Ecorys Netherlands created its Security & Justice unit in 2017. A dedicated team has worked on subjects like Corruption, Migration, Cybersecurity and Financial crime, amongst others. Our main clients are the European Commission, the European Parliament and EU institutions. Our core services are economic and policy studies (e.g. impact assessments, evaluations) and technical assistance (e.g. management and coordination of European policy networks). 
Our dedicated Security & Justice team consists of young and motivated professionals with ample experience, having worked in the unit from several years. For expertise in fields of social, transport, mobility or digital affairs, they can rely on the wider expertise in the company. 
 
Ecorys NL wants to expand its work in the field of Security & Justice and gain a more prominent role on the EU market,  As senior or principal consultant, you will play a key role to make this ambition come true. 
 
What do you bring?
 
You are a passionate professional and bring
 
Academic background (MSc or PhD in for example sociology, economics, criminology, law, or political science) 
At least 8 years, preferably 12 years of working experience in consultancy 
Excellent methodological skills in Impact Assessment and Evaluation
Good knowledge and relevant network on the EU market (e.g. DG HOME, DG JUST)
Well-developed skills in leading bids, including an active role in writing proposals
Proven capacity to deliver high-quality work within a limited period of time
 
Our work
 
Our projects cover an array of subjects and clients in the field of security & justice. Some expamples are:
 
Consultancy, technical assistance and support in the field of fight against corruption (DG HOME) 
Study on deep dives for critical technologies in the area of internal security (DG HOME)
Activities supporting the development of the Community of Users on a Secure, Safe and Resilient Society (DG HOME)
Support for setting up a pool of experts in the field of legal migration (DG HOME)
Consultancy and technical support services in the area of legal migration and integration (DG HOME)
Study on missing children: Mapping, data collection and statistics on missing children in the European Union (DG JUST)
Network of European hubs for civil protection and crisis management (DG ECHO)
Cybercrime Victimization Barometer - Piloting a model for a comparative business survey on cybercrime victimization in the EU and conceptualizing a digital reporting tool (Internal Security Fund)
Study supporting the evaluation of administrative cooperation and combating fraud in the field of value added tax (DG TAXUD)
