The Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform (SNETP) was established in September 2007 as a R&D&I platform to support and promote the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Generation II, II and IV civil nuclear systems. Since May 2019, SNETP has been operating as an international non-profit association (INPA) under the Belgian law pursuing a networking and scientific goals. It is recognised as a European Technology and Innovation Platform (ETIP) by the European Commission. The international membership base of the platform includes industrial actors, research and development organisations, academia, technical and safety organisations, SMEs as well as non-governmental bodies.

We are recruiting a Project Manager to reinforce our team. The position is composed of two parts: First, the Project Manager will coordinate the administrative and strategic management of SNETP together with the members of General Secretariat. Second, the Project Manager will take active part in EU-funded projects supporting the activity of the association. The variety of assignments for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile. This position requires close cooperation with SNETP Secretariat, composed of 10 members as well as the LGI team.
LGI has been managing the SNETP Secretariat since the beginning of the platform.

The candidate will be responsible for the following activities (the list is not exhaustive):

General Secretariat

  • Daily secretariat work (email treatment, basic interactions with members, user directory updates, etc.)
  • Management of membership applications
  • Monitoring of R&D project idea creation
  • Consolidation of annual activity reports
  • Interactions with coordinators of the projects labelled by SNETP
  • Interactions with other stakeholders (EU institutions, associations, international organisations, etc.)
  • Support and supervise LGI team members in charge of administration & financial issues, event management, communication activities, and IT maintenance.

Management meetings

  • Organisation of meetings of the different governance bodies of the association (General Assembly, Governing Board, Working groups, Secretariat, etc.): venue, agenda, participant lists, hybrid meeting management, etc.
  • Preparation of supporting presentations and meeting minutes
  • Postprocessing of decisions


  • Event management (i.e. conferences, workshops, etc.): preparation of the agenda, negotiation with service providers, relation with LGI Communication team for the event promotion, etc.

EU projects management

  • Project monitoring and follow-up (actions, deliverables and milestones)
  • Contribution to the preparation of project meetings
  • Providing a continuous administrative "helpdesk" for project partners
  • Preparation and maintenance of grant and consortium agreements
  • Preparation of financial reports, follow-up
  • Maintenance of documentation, databases and contact information using our in-house IT tool (training will be provided)

Ad hoc assignments

  • Management of call for projects
  • Contribution to the development of R&D proposals and tenders
  • The position may also require the candidate to contribute to internal activities (e.g. development and maintenance of management tools, contribution to the deployment of online tools, etc.)

The job requires regular European travels, in particular in Brussels. Job location: Paris, Lille or Brussels, with possibility of remote work.

Preferred Experience

In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must demonstrate all of the following:


  • Background in political sciences, communication, innovation management or any other relevant field
  • Approx. 3 years of experience in association management / project management.
  • Previous experience in EU R&D projects or R&D context is a plus.
  • General knowledge in low-carbon and/or nuclear energy is a plus.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French are essential, any additional language is considered an asset
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability for teamwork
  • Result-oriented mindset, including the ability to work both at macro and micro levels
  • Good analytical thinking with an ability to summarise, prioritise and present results
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities in an international and fast-moving work environment
  • Ability to work independently; proactively address issues and troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
