Objectives of the Role

This list can be adapted to meet the priorities of the organisation and in response to skills demonstrated by the successful applicant:

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Edit, and design articles, position papers, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, and digital material to disseminate the work of META Group to diverse audiences.
  • Execute marketing campaigns, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Manage, update, and feed all online channels used by META Group and its initiatives.
  • Analyse customer insights, market reports and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaigns
  • Develop and handle information output, press releases and media requests, social media and/or advertising efforts
  • Support the Sales/Proposal Writing Team
  • Represent META Group at selected meetings and workshops.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute on site and online campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
  • Manage content and updates, proposing budgets, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional sales support
  • Working in partnership with the production teams, develop creative content to meet objectives for advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with C-level about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism.
  • Exemplary written and spoken English
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role managing diverse communications actions in a company or in an association.
  • Experience in content production and of communicating complex information to diverse audiences
  • Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing
  • Experience of working in communications roles on collaborative EU-funded research and innovation projects (e.g. Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe)
  • Excellent understanding of IT tools (the full MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Outlook, Business Management software etc.) and graphic design software (InDesign, Adobe, Canva or other), and content management software such as WordPress.
  • Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills complemented by good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Team player, creative with a structured approach, having the ability to prioritise tasks and juggle multiple projects

Contract

META offers a full time employment contract under the Belgian Law.

The successful applicant can expect an annual gross salary (full time) in the range of €45,000 to €55,000, depending on previous experience, with benefits such frais forfaitaires and frais de transport publics en commun.
