EuropeanIssuers is the only pan-European organisation representing the interests of publicly quoted companies across Europe to the EU Institutions. Our members include both national associations and companies from all sectors in 14 European countries, covering markets worth € 7.6 trillion market capitalisation with approximately 8000 companies.

What are we looking for?

We are a small team of young motivated professionals looking to add to our team, a Communication, Membership and Events Manager. The position located is in our Brussels office and reports to the Secretary General.

Purpose of the function
To propose marketing strategies and campaigns to ensure the visibility of EuropeanIssuers is maintained on the various communication channels and support the organisation of events

Main responsibilities - Internal and external communication

Manage overall communication with our members and our stakeholders through the different communication channels that we use.

General management

  • Propose, develop and implement a communication plan to improve overall visibility and profile internally and externally and ensure stakeholders engagement
  • Ensure a coherent marketing approach internally and externally and propose improvements
  • Propose KPI to monitor evolution
  • Maintain and update the communication and events guide
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes
  • Other tasks as appropriate according to the development of the organisation

Website

  • Monitor and update the contents of the website to keep it attractive and up to date

Social Media

  • Lead and coordinate the social media campaign to boost our social media penetration (LinkedIn and Twitter)

Newsletter

  • Coordinate the distribution of the newsletter and prepare the layout and distribution of the newsletter

Press and media

  • Manage press relations, draft and issue press releases and articles, arranging interviews (develop press kits conveying positions on policies and issues)
  • Identify relevant journalists and assist in developing relationship with them
  • Attend media briefings and report
  • Keep press contact list up-to-date
  • Develop visibility through speaking engagements
  • Develop presentations for speaking engagements
  • Promote speaking engagements on social media and on the website
  • Communicate relevant information towards stakeholders

Events

  • Organise events (including hybrid events) & webinars for our members and stakeholders: European Capital Markets Forum (Annual conference) or/and Webinar serie
  • Prepare budget and monitor
  • Supervise logistics of the event
  • Prepare programme and promote
  • Organise speakers’ briefings and press campaign
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plan
  • Seek and develop a long-lasting relationship with our sponsors
  • Develop, propose and implement the partnership proposals
  • Secure marketing and sponsorship activities: Coordinate the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards, Secretary to the Jury
  • Review drafting of terms of reference for award criteria
  • Prepare the jury meeting
  • Liaise with FESE and the exchanges in order to gather applications of companies
  • Analyse companies’ submissions and prepare summaries and documentation for the jury and draft minutes of the meeting
  • Organize the jury meeting at DG Growth, Prepare the event
  • Liaise with FESE for the coordination of activities and agree list of responsibilities and budget
  • Seek sponsorship for the awards and liaise with sponsors
  • Ensure proper marketing of the event
  • Prepare media campaign for shortlisted companies
  • Update website and social media channels of the event
  • Invite shortlisted companies to attend and monitor presence

Membership

  • Ensure all members and external contact details are up to date
  • Propose and implement the membership strategy for ordinary and associate members
  • Promote the activities and services of the Association to new listed companies and potential members
  • Support actions of membership recruitment and retention campaigns (brochures, promotion, calls and emailing’s) as well as follow KPI on membership resignations
  • Monitor and report progress, maintain research registers of engagement with members and targets and make recommendations
  • Manage information flows with members and respond to queries
  • Assist with implementation of a membership recruitment plan to contact national associations and companies

Advisory Council

  • Coordinate the task force on the advisory council: organise meetings and distribute minutes of meetings
  • Implement a plan of meetings for the year, prepare invitations and thank you letters to guest speaker and participants, monitor attendance and support logistics
  • Measure satisfaction and expectations through survey
  • Coordinate partnership

Qualifications/Skills/Experience required:

  • Strong organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail and adherence to deadlines;
  • Ability to work well at all levels within a small and dynamic international team;
  • Diplomatic and discreet, proactive, innovative, independent and flexible with working hours;
  • Relevant experience in a similar role in a European or international setting
  • High-level of computer, event, admin and communications skills, verbal and written
  • Dynamic, self-motivated and innovative, multi-tasking professional with a can-do attitude

Profile:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a communication and events assistant
  • Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Language skills: English, other languages are a definite plus
