GIE

GIE is the voice of the gas infrastructure operators of Europe.

We represent operators working and innovating with renewable and low-carbon molecules, including hydrogen, biomethane, natural gas and synthetic gases.

3 Columns 

Our activities are scoped under 3 columns: transmission pipelines, storage facilities and LNG terminals.

History

The association was formally established on 10 March 2005 as a legally independent and non-profit association with official articles of association. Its Secretariat is based in Brussels, at the heart of the European quarter in Brussels, Avenue de Cortenbergh 100.

Leadership

The GIE President leads the GIE Board, supported by the GTE, GSE, and GLE Vice Presidents, each representing their respective columns, along with the Chairs of the Content Areas.

The GIE Secretary-General oversees the daily operations of the GIE team and ensures the coordination of the association’s activities across Europe.
