Euromines (www.euromines.org) is seeking to recruit a Raw Materials and Sustainability Policy Manager to join its Brussels team. The candidate will be responsible for all matters related to raw materials and sustainability policies, will manage the Sustainability Committee, and support the Director General in the Policy Committee.
Euromines offers a full-time employment contract under the Belgian law. The position is based in Brussels, with flexible working arrangement: 4 days/week working from the office. Ideal starting date: ASAP latest October 2026
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- monitor policy developments in all aspects related to raw materials and industrial policy relevant to the mining industry (Critical Raw Materials Act, RESourceEU, Industrial Accelerator Act, Standards Based Markets etc.),
- analyse policy developments & draft position papers or other materials (with members’ input)
- develop and execute advocacy campaigns on main priorities in close coordination with the members,
- coordinate positions and advocacy strategy with national and European partner industry associations and stakeholders,
- represent the association towards the EU institutions (Commission, Council, Parliament),
- provide specific support to individual Euromines Members.
You will report to the Euromines Director General and will be in active liaison with the other Euromines departments on Energy, Environment, Health & Safety and Communication.
Candidate Specification Essential Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Relevant university degree (preferably a degree in economics, law, or political science);
- Strong professional experience (around 3-5 years of experience) in similar EU advocacy bodies, think tanks or EU institutions;
- Well-developed understanding of the functioning of the EU Institutions;
- Established personal network inside the EU Institutions;
- Strong interest in the EU industrial policy;
- Good knowledge of the EU and global raw materials policy trends will be an asset;

- Efficient in communication with colleagues, members, and EU policymakers;
- Ability to connect the dots across business and policy landscape;
- Commitment to the significance of metals and minerals mining industry for Europe;
- Problem-solving and good analytical skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to function effectively under pressure;
- Sense of professionalism with excellent English written and verbal communication skills; fluency in other EU languages is a desirable asset;
- IT proficient, using the Microsoft365, project management software, etc.
