TIC Council represents the international Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector, building trust through compliance, transparency, and integrity. Our members serve global supply chains, ensuring safety, sustainability, and performance across industries. We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead our global communications strategy, manage a small but high-impact team, and drive visibility for our work across all platforms and regions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with TIC Council's mission and goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Director General, providing communications counsel and high-level content support.
Content & Messaging
- Craft and oversee high-impact messaging, including:
- Speeches and thought leadership for the Director General and Global Board members
- Press releases, op-eds, and media statements
- Social media campaigns and digital narratives
- Ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across channels.
Regional & Global Collaboration
- Provide strategic and operational communications support to Regional Directors in Europe, US, China, and India.
- Coordinate messaging and campaigns that resonate in diverse political, cultural, and regulatory environments.
Events & Visibility
- Oversee the planning and promotion of international summits, conferences, and webinars.
- Ensure the continuous visibility and reputation management of the TIC Council and the broader TIC sector.
Team Leadership
- Manage, inspire, and develop a team of three Communications Managers.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative team culture.
Profile & Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or media relations—preferably in an international or association context.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- A storyteller with proven ability to simplify complex topics for diverse global audiences.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on content creation skills (writing, digital, media).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong asset.
- Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments with global relevance.
- Comfortable with public speaking, diplomacy, and persuasion.
- A proactive self-starter, comfortable managing projects independently in a dynamic and flexible workplace.
