Policy Advisor, EU Energy Transition, Brussels
E3G is seeking a Policy Advisor to join its EU Energy Transition team to support E3G’s work on ensuring a fast, fair and funded clean energy transition in the EU. This role will focus on delivering a just and well-managed gas transition in the EU.

E3G is an independent climate change think tank. We are world-leading strategists on the political economy of climate change, dedicated to achieving a safe climate for all.
We work on the frontier of the climate politics landscape, tackling the barriers and advancing the solutions to a safe climate. Our goal is to translate climate politics, economics and policies into action.
E3G is ranked as one of the top ten most influential environmental think tanks in the world by the University of Pennsylvania’s Global Go-To Think Tank Index.
The role
The Policy Advisor will work with the EU Energy Transition Team to support the delivery of E3G’s clean energy work, with a focus on ensuring a just and well-managed gas transition in the EU.
The Policy Advisor will strengthen E3G’s analytical and research base and expand our stakeholder engagement with key actors in private sector, civil society in Brussels and across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
This list is not exhaustive, and the post-holder will be required to undertake other tasks and duties within the EU Energy Transition team and the wider organisation.
Person Description
You have a sound understanding of, and commitment to, E3G’s purpose, context and objectives.
You are intellectually curious and enthusiastic about developing solutions to complex challenges. You are proficient at working across a range of issues, information sources and with diverse stakeholders, making timely work-related decisions, respecting deadlines.
You are committed to high quality outputs and use collaboration to get to better outcomes. You are a motivated team player, who has an ability to work both independently and in a group setting.
You will be able to identify and engage with a range of external stakeholders to understand their perspectives and communicate your ideas and findings, keeping abreast of changing geopolitics and trends.

What we offer
