Call for Membership & Communication Officer – YEU International
Youth for Exchange and Understanding (YEU) is looking for a part-time Membership & Communication Officer (19h/week) to join its Secretariat in Brussels, starting as soon as possible. Familiarity with NGOs, youth work, non-formal education, and fluency in English are required; French is an asset. Position vacant from 9th June 2025.
About YEU:
Founded in 1986, YEU promotes peace, understanding, and cooperation among youth worldwide, using non-formal education (NFE). Recognized by the Council of Europe and the EU, YEU counts over 30 Member Organisations across Europe and Africa.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage membership database and lead its development
- Support implementation of Membership Strategy
- Assist member organizations and build external partnerships
- Organize events, coordinate project activities
- Manage YEU’s communication channels
- Assist with administrative tasks and reporting
Tasks will vary depending on project cycles and Secretariat needs.
Profile, Competences & Requirements
- 2+ years of international youth work experience
- Background in membership support and/or communications preferred
- Strong networking, organisational, and communication skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented, flexible, and team-spirited
- Understanding of youth work, NFE, and EU institutions
- Fluent in English; French preferred
- Willing to travel, work flexible hours, and live in Brussels
- Right to live and work in Belgium
