The job

Integrated to the European Affairs Department of Euros / Agency in Brussels, the Senior Advisor / Account Director will be responsible for conducting public affairs and communication campaigns on behalf of the agency’s clients (governments, private companies, associations and other organisations), as well as for managing client accounts.

A key member of a dynamic and fast-growing agency, they will be responsible for the following tasks :

  • Day-to-day strategic and operational advice
  • Strategic and operational management of European public affairs campaigns
  • Definition of integrated advocacy strategies at European level
  • Drafting of public affairs documents (position papers, letters, requests for meetings, amendments, responses to public consultations, etc.)
  • Team management and supervision
  • Day-to-day client relationship
  • Participation in the commercial development of the agency in Brussels - identifying and attending relevant events

The person 

You have impeccable writing and interpersonal skills, a thorough knowledge of the Brussels institutional ecosystem and of EU affairs, as well as an interest in political and institutional communication. You have at least 5 years of experience in European public affairs. You are organised and ideally already have some experience in project and/or team management. You are able to manage several tasks with conflicting deadlines, while remaining rigorous at all times. You like human contact and particularly enjoy working in a team.

Essential qualities

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in European public affairs
  • Perfect command of English and French, and ideally, good knowledge of a third language (German, Spanish, Dutch)
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Autonomy, rigour, proactivity
  • Excellent knowledge of European political and regulatory challenges and market trends
  • Commercial acumen
  • Team player, sense of community
