UNIC Internship Programme 2024 –Autumn intake


The International Union of Cinemas (UNIC) is a Brussels-based international trade association that represents the interests of cinemas in 39 countries. We closely work with European institutions and diverse stakeholders to promote the social, cultural and economic value of cinema exhibition in Europe.


UNIC’s internship scheme enables students and recent graduates to gain experience in a media industry-related advocacy organisation. We are looking for responsible and dynamic interns, capable of self-initiative, to support UNIC staff in its intelligence work regarding cinema exhibition and film industry & organisation of events.




  • Assist with research on cinema exhibition and film industry trends;
  • Assist with research on pan-European audiovisual market and policy developments;
  • Assist in the preparation of industry updates and briefings for UNIC members;
  • Assist with policy and advocacy work with the new European Parliament;
  • Assist with the organization of key events such as our Cinema Days and our screenings (support on logistics)
  • Assist in implementing UNIC’s communications strategy (social media campaign, press relations, outreach to UNIC members and partners);
  • Office management and administration.


Fluent English (native level), other European languages a plus.

Start date

Anytime from Monday 2 September 2024.  


3 or 4 months, full-time. We work part-time from home, part-time from the office.

Education background

Bachelor degree minimum.

Administrative requirements

The trainee must have the right to work in Belgium.


This is under a Belgian “convention de volontariat” with an indemnité.
