Communications intern


Join a friendly multinational team within a growing European think tank!

The Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE), a European think tank specialised in energy, mobility and digital policies, is looking for a skilled and motivated intern. This is a paid internship for minimum 6 months, based in Brussels.

This internship provides an opportunity to broaden your knowledge and have a hands-on experience in European communication, EU affairs, energy, mobility and digital policies in Europe, as well as project management.


The trainee will assist the Communication team in the dissemination of CERRE’s content and in further building the think tank’s visibility:

  • Drafting, designing and preparing communications materials (newsletters, annual report, …)
  • Drafting content for CERRE’s website and social media accounts;
  • Preparing, editing and disseminating videos and visuals;
  • Preparing special communications campaigns, such as the launch of new studies;
  • Supporting the organisation of conferences, seminars, webinars, and other events;
  • Identifying and contacting journalists;
  • Monitoring trends and political news;
  • Contributing to CERRE’s outreach activities.


  • Fluent in English (native speaker a plus);
  • Degree in communications or related area;
  • Strong social media skills;
  • Excellent office software skills (MS Office), video editing and design skills are a plus;
  • Interest in politics and European affairs;
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and work autonomously.
