CCAM (Connected and Cooperative Automated Mobility) MANAGER

Role:
The CCAM Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating all the knowledge activities linked to Connected and Cooperative Automated Mobility.
This includes, in particular, the management of a large scale collaborative innovation project funded by the European Commission, and the contribution to other running projects.
He/She is responsible for facilitating the exchange and interaction with the other actors of the sector, in particular members from the industry and operators.
He/She will work closely with other managers; in particular the CCAM Manager role focuses on the CCAM enablers, and is complementary to the activities of the UITP Combined Mobility Manager who focuses on shared and combined mobility services.
This position implies leadership, consensus-building and diplomatic skills in a sensitive environment to conciliate the different interests of the actors for a smooth and successful implementation of the project’s objectives.

Keys responsibilities:
1. Lead UITP knowledge and research in CCAM topics, conciliating the needs of the sector and the association and expectations of all stakeholders;
2. Coordinate the large scale CCAM project funded by the EU and support other CCAM projects from proposal preparation to execution, including budget and resources forecast and management, content production, communication and dissemination strategy and activities in collaboration with the Communication department;
3. Facilitate the exchange of information between Projects and UITP bodies and members worldwide, by synthetizing information collected;
4. Ensure that knowledge elaboration and research output related to CCAM activities contribute to create added value services to the direct benefits of members and answer the priorities of the UITP Integrated Global Work Programme, also by proposing new activities and research topics about CCAM;
5. Advocate the value of the project results to external stakeholders in order to develop a sustainable exploitation strategy and ensure liaison with other relevant CCAM activities internal and at EU and International level.
6. Provide scientific input and support to events (Global Public Transport Summit, conferences, workshops, seminars), trainings, peer reviews and other similar activities;
7. Manage the relationship with several key accounts of premium members;
8. Support the Mobility Enablers Unit leader and cooperate with other managers;
9. Cooperate with the Director and Deputy Directors of Department;
10. Fulfils his/her mission according to the internal culture based on RISE values (Respect, Innovation, Sharing, Expertise), the code of conduct, and on the principles of caring management. In team or project management, this implies providing the colleagues employees with guidance, leadership and support, ensuring their development and well-being, while being responsible for enforcing corporate policies and procedures standards;

Technical Skills, profile, education and experience:

  • Engineering or similar degree, with minimum 5 years’ experience in ITS especially in the field of Cooperative and Connected Automated Driving;
  • Knowledge of Public Transport sector;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EC project administration and technical coordination;
  • Technical and/or business knowledge/expertise with overall understanding of administration, research and innovation deployment aspects;
  • Excellent communications skills, English written and oral;
  • Knowledge of one or more other languages is an asset;
  • Communication and networking skills, presentation and moderator skills;
  • Facilitator skills during proposal building process and able to build consensus;
  • Able to manage time and prioritize tasks, within tight time constraints;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Proactive and accurate, creative, initiative taker;
  • Stress resistant, reliable and self-confident;
  • Excellent knowledge of software tools (MS Office, Project Management, EC tools…);
  • A team player, accountable and able to work autonomously;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Having an international background is an asset;
  • Committed to UITP Management and Membership development;
  • Flexible and service minded, able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
