About Hydrogen Europe

Hydrogen is a crucial ingredient of Europe’s ambition to go for a net zero emission society. It is of outmost importance to integrate renewable energy and to decarbonise key sectors like trucks, train, shipping, aviation as well as energy, industry and the heating sectors.

Hydrogen Europe is the European association representing the interest of the hydrogen and fuel cell industry and its stakeholders. We promote Hydrogen as the enabler of a zero-emission society. With more than 130 companies, 70 research organisations and 19 national associations as members, our association encompasses the entire value chain of the European Hydrogen and fuel cell ecosystem collaborating in the Fuel Cell Hydrogen Joint Undertaking.

We are a Brussels-based association fostering knowledge and pushing for fact-based policy making ensuring that the European regulatory framework enables the role of hydrogen in our society.

Main responsibilities


  • Assisting in maintaining, regularly updating website and social media accounts;
  • Contributing to draft and disseminate the monthly Hydrogen Europe newsletter
  • Supporting the realization of different communication tools and materials (reports, papers, brochures, etc)
  • Helping in researching and writing press releases, articles, news for the website
  • Identification of outreach, communications and visibility opportunities
  • General administrative support


Support the organisation of small to large events organized by Hydrogen Europe, notably:

  • Sponsorship and exhibitors: support in following up the sponsorship outreach and implementing the sponsorship package
  •  Venue liaison: liaise with hosts of the conference
  • Co-manage the website of the conference and the social media campaign
  • Liaise with speakers, local host, suppliers, designers and with the team to address their needs and respect deadlines
  • Communicate with participants (manage registrations, ad-hoc requests etc.)
  • Implement the promotional strategy and supervise the production of promotional tools


  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Pro-active, independent thinker and creative individual
  • Excellent written and oral English, additional languages are a plus
  • High level of curiosity and willingness to learn about the hydrogen sector
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package, particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications or events activities is a plus
  • Flexibility in working in a small team where various tasks outside of communications and events might be needed
  • Sense of humour
