ROLE
 
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement best practices and governance model for programs and projects to help meet the amfori objectives
  • Develop, enhance and monitor program management methodology
  • Ensure compliance to program management standards
  • Manage business case including the value proposition, budget, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Provide thought leadership to program leaders and teams
  • Ensure project status is reported clearly, consistently and reliably to executive management and team members
  • Manage, coach and mentor program and project managers on project management tools, training and agile best practices
  • Partner with internal customers (i.e. Executive Team, Global project managers, functional managers and stakeholders, …) to strengthen and support strategic portfolio
  • Lead Change management, to inspire a shared purpose of intent, drive project awareness, communications, and training

Challenges

  • The Project Management Office Manager needs to develop a strategy, develop and communicate the PMO vision, inspire and motivate staff to deliver successful projects focused an effective and efficient sustainability and trade impact
  • The Project Management Office Manager drives projects’ performance improvement balancing operations and projects in the organizations team-delivery structure
  • The Project Management Office Manager champions change management as an organizational culture to adapt and adopt the most efficient an effective implementation of identified initiatives
  • The Project Management Office Manager understand key concepts and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and senior management

Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Technology discipline desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience with proven PMO leadership responsibility
  • At least 5 years of proven success leading a team of Project Managers, while demonstrating a high level of initiative and autonomy
  • Certified in Project Management i.e. PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Excellent program management skills, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills as applied to complex issues
  • Motivated self-starter who is result driven, with exceptional multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork ability
  • Thorough working proficiency in English, any other language is an asset
