POSITION PURPOSE

The Country Risk Rating product provides country risk assessments using ESG lens and Country Compliance product assess sanctioned countries and international norms and treaties. The product manager for the Country Risk Rating and Country Compliance product offering will be accountable for the overall success of these products.    

The product manager is responsible for developing, launching and maintaining our product offering. The product manager identifies new market opportunities and enhances the existing product by adding new features or adapting the product to cater to the market needs. The product manager defines product requirements, coordinates research execution with research managers and our developer teams, maintains the product roadmap and oversees product introductions. The product manager also engages with existing clients to understand their needs and discuss product related questions. The product manager will work closely with colleagues from the Client Relations, Marketing, IT Development and Research teams to develop, bring to market and manage the product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work closely with Client Relations team and clients to understand current and evolving client needs and translate client and market needs into product features;
  • Work with various teams to implement the product features into the product;
  • Work with research teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients;
  • Work closely with development and ICT teams to release product features in our platforms;
  • Advise clients on the use and implementation of our products in their work;
  • Coordinate and answer product and research related questions from clients and colleagues;
  • Provide insights and market intelligence to identify related market trends and translate these into product improvements or new product propositions.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Master’s degree in related discipline (business, economics or finance) or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience;
  • Experience related to country or macro-economic analysis, credit markets or fixed income investments is a plus;
  • ESG/Responsible Investment background considered an asset;
  • Competency in assessing macroeconomic sustainability trends, policy analysis or research on environmental and social issues facing countries
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Strong product/project management and execution skills;
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
