Hackages is a company focusing on tech education and web development expertise. It's our mission to improve the skills of web & software developers by sharing our knowledge and craftsmanship, at this moment mainly in JavaScript and its ecosystem. We do this by providing high quality training and coaching to companies and individual developers.

Our team is a group of highly motivated software engineers, passionate about new technologies & education. We love to organise community workshops & events and contribute to open source software projects. Brussels and Amsterdam are our base camps but we have an international scope and feel at home in Dublin, Paris, London...and more!

We’re craving for...

a passionate Communication & Marketing intern to join our enthusiastic team.

We have big plans for 2019, so we are looking for someone who’s hands-on, proactive and ready to take up this varied challenge!

As a MarCom & Community intern, you will support the team in the planning and executing the Marketing and Communication strategy for our different products: courses in advanced technologies, coaching for companies & our new online community learning platform. Your main mission will be to make the Hackages brand known, to generate new leads and to grow a strong community around our brand.

Our ideal new intern takes pleasure in organising events and managing social media accounts. He or she is creative, able and willing to create online content in different shapes such posts, newsletters and videos.

Are you eager to...

  • Support the MarCom Strategy for 2019?
  • Grow & sustain a community around technologies?
  • Organise workshop events in different countries?
  • Manage multiple social media accounts?
  • Create content (text & images, video) for different channels?
  • Write engaging newsletters and blog posts?
  • Keep track of the MarCom results and reevaluate results?
  • Establish promotional partnerships with conferences & associations?
  • Think about ways to attract new leads and engage existing customers?

Sounds like you?

  • You have a degree in Communications, Marketing or similar
  • You’re a native English speaker or you have native-speaker level. French or Dutch is a plus
  • You’re an excellent communicator
  • You’re a fluent writer & a strong storyteller
  • You’re well-organised and not afraid of deadlines
  • You thrive in a team but you also know how to work autonomously and to manage your own priorities
  • You have a professional sense of taking responsibility
  • You know how to create visuals & know your way around Adobe programs like Illustrator, Indesign Photoshop and Premiere Pro/other video production software - or you’re willing to learn this
  • You can work with Google Analytics as well as Social Media Analytics - or you’re willing to learn this
  • You have an affinity with and/or interest for technology, and you’re willing to immerse yourself in this field
