DAI is seeking a Project Resourcer, to work on projects funded by European donors and to join DAI’s busy Delivery Team. The position will be based in attractive, well-appointed offices in central Brussels.

Reporting to the EC Project Director, the candidate will work within an experienced and dedicated team to support the management of our EU project portfolio. As one of the EC team’s Project Resourcers, the successful candidate will assist in project team design, sourcing those that will be implementing the projects and selecting those involved in delivery in this exciting portfolio of European-donor work. They will work closely with DAI’s technical experts to ensure that the highest quality consultants and subject matter experts are brought on board, to assist DAI in ensuring the best are hired. You will also work with our commercial, security and Human Resource teams to ensure each team is recruited to maintain our high standards and ensuring success in those programmes we manage.

DAI needs an enthusiastic candidate who can lead the sourcing of experts in all DAI’s areas of expertise; engage, develop and build networks and become familiar with employment legislation in the countries that host DAI projects.

We would like to hear from you if you have previous experience or a strong interest in international development as well as recruitment experience, strong administrative and good team-working skills along with an ability to meet tight deadlines and excellent written/spoken English and, preferably, French.

For the role the successful candidate will have:

  • as a minimum, an undergraduate degree or equivalent;
  • some relevant work experience, possibly in a consultancy, an EU institution or an NGO;
  • previous experience of projects funded by the European Commission or other EU donors;
  • experience of using online platforms as a sourcing tool;
  • ability to confidently communicate with internal and external clients/candidates;
  • ability to multi-task, often with inflexible deadlines.
  • Interest/understanding of international development is an advantage as are an understanding of PRAG and interviewing and salary negotiation skills.
