Job Offer for a Communications Officer:

The European Association of Chemical Distributors, FECC, is looking for a Communications Officer. The Communications Officer will be part of a multinational team. The officer will collaborate with FECC Technical and Advocacy experts to help develop and maintain all communications related to FECC activities (e.g. Newsletters, website, social media channels, FECC events…).


  • Handling media requests
  • Monitoring of press releases and EU related communications
  • Contacts and co-ordination with trade press
  • Helping to develop the internal and external communication strategy
  • Development of written, web and audio-visual content, including but not limited to the newsletter
  • Be the FECC web-master
  • Liaise with members and external stakeholders for all communication items related to chemical distribution activities
  • Manage the postings on social networks

Note that other duties might be requested and that the job description is not definitive.

Studies and Professional experience

  • A degree in law or communications
  • Proficient in graphic design
  • Proficient in all software essential for delivering a high-quality job related to all activities described in the paragraph above, including image and video edition software
  • Highly proficient in social media posting
  • Excellent command of website management
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience


  • Main language: English, native speaker
  • Other languages; French or/and Dutch or/and German will be a plus, but not mandatory

 Other Information:

  • Salary will be based on experience
  • The job will require occasional travels
  • The applicant will be based in the FECC office, located in the European quarter
