Office Manager/ Assistant (m/f)

The tasks of an Office Manager/Assistant include:

  • Handling of day-to-day operations in the office (e.g. ordering of office supplies, reception of visitors)
  • Support to bookkeeping of the project, such as managing of petty cash or handling of travel arrangements
  • Support to the Project Team Leader on project coordination tasks with other implementing agencies (AECID and AFD)
  • Preparation and documentation of team and other relevant meetings
  • Support the Project Team Leader in HR related tasks (for example compile a guidebook of existing regulations for national staff; support to the intern hiring process)

The following qualifications and experiences are required

  • At least three years of experience in secretary management or business administration;
  • Experience in HR related tasks; experience in organizing small events;
  • English/French mandatory both fluent (in writing, reading and speaking). German/Dutch is an asset.
  • Experience in developing country (to understand working context) would be an asset.
  • Work permit for Belgium

We offer you a temporary contract with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Brussels under Belgian law. The position will be remunerated according to the level of experience. In addition to the legal holidays, you will receive 5 extra days of holiday per calendar year, as well as lunch checks, health insurance for hospitalization and the reimbursement of a monthly ticket for Brussels public transport.

The position is half-time (0.5 FTE). Work place is Brussels. A valid work permit for Belgium is required.
