Key mission for this position is to:

  • Provide leadership in strengthening COCIR’s Digital Health strategy in close relationship with the COCIR Secretary General and COCIR company executives involved in digital health activities
  • Coordinate all Digital Related related activities in COCIR particularly the Digital Health Committee, mHealth Focus Group, Data Protection/Cybersecurity, interoperability and Integrated Care Focus groups and other related activities
  • To pro-actively analyse the overall eco-system, attract and enrol new Health ICT industries, SMEs and other industry players who play a role in Europe and beyond and suggest partnerships with other stakeholders where appropriate

The Senior Manager will monitor developments or initiatives taken by the European Commission or other EU institutions as well as pro-actively monitoring developments in EU Member States essentially focusing on the digital health domain.

Main tasks and responsibilities involve:

On Digital Health Strategy:

  • Concentrate on maintaining a high level of knowledge on developments at EU level
  • Support deployment at country level as defined by COCIR membership
  • Continuously monitor trends on how eco-system is evolving and identify key elements that may potentially affect or provide opportunities for our industries

On coordination of Digital Health activities with COCIR members:

  • Work closely with Committee chairs on key priorities and expected deliverables and recommend improvements in the way those committees operate if needed
  • Maintain lively and effective committees (roadmap and calendar, minutes, report, Tcon etc).
  • Energize members and focus on outcome.
  • Provide on regular basis lobby plans, communication strategy, committees calendars
  • Coordinate establishment and review of COCIR position papers
  • Organise committees activities (including meetings, seminars, TCONs): prepare agenda, provide presentation materials, draft minutes and monitor attendance
  • Generate/Write relevant articles/input to regular newsletters/press releases 
  • Increase internal and external communication articulating COCIR initiatives
  • Participate to EU funded projects (Eurocas, EIP AHA, etc…)

On building dedicated platforms and targeted partnerships:

  • Making the appropriate analysis of the landscape
  • Scan and approach players willing to learn more and act in digital health
  • Support the COCIR Secretary General in shaping specific focus

Required competencies:

  • Excellent strategic thinking (still a ‘doer’ combined with a good level of resilience to reach goals) and leadership capabilities
  • Excellent in communication skills and capacity to smartly and persuasively communicate to various audiences with the right level of assertiveness
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Lobbying experience with the European Institutions (3-4 years desired)
  • Creative, “out of the box” thinker, Team player, autonomous,
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Multi-tasking and initiative-taking
  • Knowledge in working with associations Profile/Preferred experience and qualification:
  • 5-10 years’ international/European experience in Health ICT industry
  • Multicultural and language skills (English required, French recommended, other languages a plus)
  • Masters degree in business with a sound background in Health ICT
  • Occasional travel
