The EUF offers a Web development Internship for students or recent graduates to work with our staff in our Brussels office.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing internet applications and IT solutions.
  • Defining site objectives by analysing user requirements/ feedback; envisioning system features and functionalities.
  • Designing and developing user interfaces to internet applications.
  • Designing and conducting tests.
  • Integrating applications by designing database architecture and server scripting.
  • Studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, external web applications and information servers.
  • Supporting the team by building and maintaining documentation and assistance tools.

Required skills and experience

  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Fluency in React, Node.js, MySQL and good knowledge of UI design
  • Precise and organised way of working
  • Creativity and problem-solving as well as good communication skills
  • Interest in learning more about web and app technologies
  • Capability of working in a team as well as independently
  • Any extra knowledge about MongoDB, GraphQL, SASS, unit testing, git, lean development and the Erasmus+ programme is an advantage.

Terms and conditions

  • Internship duration 4-6 months
  • The internship should begin between September 1st and October 1st
  • The Intern is encouraged to have an Erasmus+ traineeship scholarship or equal funding. The EUF is able to provide selected candidates with a top-up grant to cover the living costs.
  • High possibility of transitioning into a permanent position further to the internship.

Highly valued

  • Experience in local, national or European student organisations
  • Fluency in other European languages (e.g. French, Italian, Spanish)
  • Volunteer experience
