Job description

Reporting to: Senior Project Manager - in charge of FWC coordination/Project Manager
Based in: Brussels, Belgium
Travel %: not mandatory-in exceptional case up to 10% (depending on projects)
Suggested starting date: 14th May 2018

Context:

As a result of the acquisition of the FWC Contracts External Aid SIEA 2018:

  • Lot 3 Human Rights, Democracy and Peace:-Lead Partner
  • Lot 4 Human Development and Safety Net:-Consortium Partner
  • Lot 5 Budget Support:-Consortium Partner
  • Lot 6 Innovating Financing for Development:-Consortium Partner

B&S Europe is looking for recruiting a PA that will work in the Framework Contract Unit (FWC), with a main involvement in Lot 3&6.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Assist Project Managers in daily tasks including:
  • Support to the managers in the FWC Unit: monitoring of the activities, liaison with the experts, mobilization of experts, administrative management etc;
  • Searching for experts through the B&S Europe database and/or local partners to participate in projects;
  • Preparation of technical offer (constitution of the expert team, support in the writing of technical offer);
  • Researching and expanding our network of local partners and experts;
  • Participating in the development of creative and efficient project management;
  • Updating and improving database. 

Description of the ideal profile

  • Recent graduate or advanced student in Economics, Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Social Sciences or similar;
  • Proved interest in the cooperation and development field;
  • Ability to interact with people and establish good relationships;
  • Perfect oral and drafting skills in English and French mandatory, Spanish is an asset;
  • Capacity to worlk within a team;
  • Capacity for independent decision-making and taking initiatives;
  • Computer skills MS Office (Excel,Word, Power Point), Internet and database;
  • Dynamic, good capacity of relationship and interaction with people, high level of commitment and integrity and demonstrating a willingness to work in Brussels for long term.

Conditions

Please note that an internship agreement with a university or any other institutions is required. This is a full-time position for a period of 6 months in Brussels. The internship is remunerated with an allowance of 600EUR per month.
