The European Grassroots Antiracist Movement (EGAM) is looking for a new Director.  At the heart of the fight against racism and for democracy in Europe, you will live a unique, enriching, and intense European experience.

From Oslo to Athens, by way of Kiev, Istanbul or Sarajevo, you will be part of the activists who make a difference in the preservation and progress of Equality in Europe. Through EGAM’s activities, you will contribute to addressing the challenges that Europe is facing today, and play an active role in the evolution of laws, opinions, and practices to build the democratic Europe of tomorrow.

You will live a unique experience that will allow you not only to develop personally, professionally and politically but also to build and consolidate a network of European political, institutional, and associative decision-makers.

Description of EGAM

Founded in 2010, the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement (EGAM) brings together and coordinates the activities of several NGOs from more than 30 European countries in order to promote a more integrated and active European civil society against racism, anti-Semitism, racial discrimination and genocide denial in Europe. Furthermore, in 2016 EGAM launched, and now coordinates, the Elie Wiesel network of parliamentarians for the prevention of mass atrocities.

In order to fight the increase and radicalization of racist and anti-Semitic acts, the growing influence of identity ideologies, and the weakening of democratic civil society, EGAM aims to structure, train, strengthen, and mobilize the European civil society through:

  • Grassroots campaigns across Europe.
  • Lobbying campaigns with local, national, European, and international political and institutional leaders.
  • Meetings and training seminars for leaders of civil society.

Job description:

Under the lead of the President of EGAM, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Management of EGAM’s Coordination staff:

  • Direction of EGAM’s coordination staff
  • Coordination and direction with the leaders of associations working with EGAM.
  • Supervision of the communication strategy.

Coordination of projects and campaigns in Europe:

  • Coordination and supervision of field projects.
  • Coordination and supervision of lobbying campaigns.
  • Coordination  and supervision of training activities for civil society leaders.
  • Coordination of the network of organizations, partners, and supporters of EGAM

Supervision of the administrative, financial and budgetary administration:

As EGAM’s director, you will have the responsibility to supervise the work of the administrative and financial officers:

  • Monitoring grant applications on the local, national, and European level.
  • Coordination of fundraising and donation campaigns.
  • Monitoring the budget, the long term financial plan, as well as the financial and action reports.
  • Managing relationships with administrative and financial partners.


We look for a person who:

  • Has international experience and is used to travel.
  • Takes the initiative, is confident, and shows perseverance.
  • Has excellent oral and writing skills.
  • Has a Master Degree and has at least 3 years’ experience in managing projects, networks and teams.
  • Masters French and English language; the knowledge of other languages is appreciated.
  • Comes from an EU country or has the right to work in the EU.


Between 1.700 and 2.000 € per month, full-time, permanent contract.
