EBA is a non-profit organisation aiming to promote the deployment of sustainable biogas and biomethane production and use in Europe, coming from anaerobic digestion and biomass gasification. Our network unites the most experienced biogas and biomethane experts from over 20 countries all across Europe.

We are seeking an Assistant to support the staff in Brussels and to follow up on activities of the association.

Job title:  Communications Assistant

Location: Renewable Energy House (REH), Rue d’Arlon 63-65, 1040 Brussels

Starting date: April 2017 

Job description and scope of activities:

  • You will support EBA’s communication activities (mainly newsletters, press releases, media relations…)
  • You will support the preparation of EBA events
  • You will support EBA campaigning and social media activities
  • You will be involved in European-funded projects, perform various tasks such as newsletter, default presentations, drafting of press releases, etc.
  • You will manage internal databases
  • General office duties


  • University graduate or undergraduate in a related field (Communications, Journalism, Marketing…)
  • 1-3 years of previous experience
  • Previous experience in communication (newsletter, press releases, website)
  • Knowledge of renewable energies and particularly biogas is desirable
  • Experience with Word Press and mastering MS Office (including Publisher)
  • Excellent written and spoken English, preferably native. Other European languages, particularly French and/or German, are an asset
  • Autonomy, self-organisation, reliability
  • We are looking for a proactive person, eager to learn and participate in EBA’s communications activities
  • A work permit for Belgium is mandatory
