Job Description
Interel Association Management is looking to recruit a Writer/Web Editor - Native English Speaking.
As a growing association and corporate consultancy we are looking to add to our team an experienced Writer/Web Editor who will (mainly) support one of the company’s medical association clients. The Writer/Web Editor will lead the efforts to communicate the association's brand to a wide variety of audiences including: the international medical community, pharmaceutical companies, donors and potential donors, related organizations and associations, policy makers, and the general public.
Responsibilities:
The Writer/Web Editor's primary responsibility is to promote the association by providing all content for coordinated online and hardcopy communications (4 hardcopy newsletters/year, 12 online newsletters/year) and a range of membership recruitment programs, new social media, blogger outreach, and global campaigns as prescribed by the association’s strategic communications plan. The Writer/Web Editor will also have the responsibility for all content posted on the association’s online portal, either original aggregated or commissioned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Journalism or a related field and 7 to 10 years international experience as a communications professional, preferably in the healthcare sector, with proven ability to write in a compelling and concise way. Non-profit or non-governmental organization experience and involvement in writing for international fundraising activities are a plus. Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills required, as well as highly evolved teamwork and strong time management skills. Computer literacy is required including a proficiency in web-based applications. Experience with HTML programming, blogs and email marketing are a plus.
