Job Description

EurActiv.com is the leading independent portal on EU affairs. EurActiv is published daily in ten languages and now has 590,000 readers per month. EurActiv is recruiting two full-time interns (translators) to join the English section of its editorial and country coordination team in its Brussels Network Office.

Start of internship: ASAP

Initial period: 6 months


Job Description:

Providing translation assistance from French into English (in addition, assistance with preparation of EurActiv activities in relation to networking, partnerships, marketing, editorial work etc.)

Profile:

Required:

  • English mother tongue
  • Very good command of French and fair command of German
  • University education: background in Translations (French-English), European affairs, politics or journalism
  • Knowledge of/Interest in EU affairs
  • Frequent user of internet services and familiarity with MS Office
  • Proactive and outgoing person, open-minded, flexible, and team-player
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Highly-motivated and able to face tight deadlines

An asset:

  • Brussels experience (traineeship at EU institution or similar)
  • Co-funding via Leonardo da Vinci programme (more info: http://eu.daad.de) or similar programme
