Job Description

FEAD offers 2 traineeships as from end September 2009 for a 6-month period

•    A trainee with a legal background (public procurement law or environmental law)
•    A trainee with a technical background (environmental engineering)

Based in the heart of Brussels, close to the EU-institutions, FEAD offers you the unique opportunity to work with an international trade organisation for the waste management industry.

Assignments:

•     Collect, search and disseminate information on policy areas relevant to FEAD members as well as providing the FEAD team with regular updates
•     Assist with the co-ordination of and attendance in FEAD Committees’ meetings
•     Press monitoring
•     Updating the FEAD website
•     Various administrative tasks
•     Attend sessions in the European Parliament or other meetings and report

Requirements:

•     Excellent language skills at least in 2 of the following languages:
• English, French, German
•     Strong interest in European affairs in general and environmental issues/waste management in particular
•     Good communication skills
•     Fully computer literate
•     Ability to adapt in a small but highly motivated team
