Job Description: Sustainability Associate (6 months contract)

We are looking to strengthen our Sustainability department by hiring an energetic and creative self-starter to:

Sustainability Reporting

  • Research and collect company ESG data from annual reports/websites/analyst reports, Bloomberg, SNL, Reuters etc. such as energy consumption, GHG emission, water consumption
  • Support the department head and ESG manager on EPRA sustainability Best Practices Recommendations (sBPR), the main reporting framework for listed real estate
  • Support the team on compliance and assessment related activities.

ESG Database

  • Assist the sustainability and operations team on assimilating data into the database. Help with quality checks and data verification process. Occasional interaction with 3rd party service providers may also be needed.


  • Assist the team in scheduling events, preparing PowerPoint presentations for road shows.
  • Assist EPRA on ESG communication tasks
  • Support in organising ESG summits, workshops and conferences
  • Together with the ESG Manager, monitor sustainability related developments together with the public affairs team in relation to the European Commission
  • Assist team on EPRA Sustainability Committee activities
  • Support team for organising yearly Sustainability Summit .

Desired Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a CSR or sustainability team
  • A degree in Economics or Engineering.  A specialised master in CSR or Sustainability would be advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Understanding and evidence of working with real estate sustainability frameworks; including GRI, GRESB, CDP, PRI, SASB etc.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior industry executives
  • Results driven self-starter, proactive and, able to manage several projects in a fast-paced dynamic finance environment
  • Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills and some knowledge of databases would be advantageous
  • Team player, showing the ability to support other team members and other areas of the business
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset
  • Based within commuting distance of Brussels.
