Job Description
Fondation EurActiv operates a trainee scheme in Brussels for young people providing graded learning in EU policies. Interns are allocated either to editorial, commercial or technical tasks, depending on availability and abilities/experience. These internships are for a minimum of six months and can be extended twice, in which case there are opportunities to serve in a different unit.

Profile
- Fast, entrepreneurial, team-player, hard-working, “hands-on” approach
- Experience in a busy international environment (e.g. ‘Stage’ with EU institution, advertising, consultancy, law firm, federation or company).
- Good references
- Ideally resident in Brussels, native or near-native English + French oral skills
- Good phone, inter-personal skills and knowledge of MS Office
Current openings:
One editorial intern to work on EU policies, ideally with School of Journalism or other equivalent studies, to research and prepare articles for publication.
One commercial intern to work with the Public Affairs unit, ideally with some sales or marketing experience and some knowledge of office skills.

Responsibilities include
- Research on EU policies (experience in the EU institutions welcome)
- Validate and/or rewrite information on EU policies
- Desk research on EU public affairs
- Marketing and network tasks
- Monitoring EU tenders and Calls for proposals
- Developing data bases.
This internship will be for an initial period of six months. Regular coaching and evaluation will determine whether an extension for a further period is offered.
A financial contribution is provided; favourable consideration will be given to applicants who are eligible for funding via Erasmus or other programmes.
