SAMMAN law firm (www.cabinet-samman.com), specializing in public affairs at the French and European levels, brings a strong and innovative vision to legal practice.  Its unique positioning, combined with the expertise of its team, allows it to support its clients in mastering the legal, political and institutional aspects of their sector of activity at the local, national and European level, as well as in the implementation of a strategy optimizing the legislative and regulatory environment in which they operate.

The firm’s core practice areas are in the digital, energy, finance, transport and health sectors but it has a wide range of clients operating in other sectors. 

We are currently looking for a Senior Public Affairs Manager to complement our Paris team. 

The successful candidate has a background in public affairs and demonstrates a strong interest in public policy and institutions.  Ideally, the candidate has legal training or experience in analyzing and understanding the legal system. 

The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience gained in a consulting firm, institution, association or company with a strong public policy dimension. 

In addition to fluency in French, he/she has an excellent level of English which permits him/her to communicate with clients and others, in writing and orally, with ease, in a fluid and nuanced way.

Desired skills and qualities:

  • A strong interest in public policy, as well as a very good knowledge of public decision-making processes and institutions;
  • A good capacity for developing an understanding and a general analysis of the legislative and regulatory framework as well as its adoption process;
  • A facility for synthesis and well-developed writing skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple clients/files across different sectors and issues;
  • Fluent spoken and written English and French;
  • Flexibility and responsiveness;
  • Team spirit;
  • Proficiency with IT tools.
