EIPA has a vacancy in the Unit for Public Management and Comparative Public Administration for a:

RESEARCHER (F/M) full-time based in Maastricht

Job description:
Supporting project management and assisting in training activities of the Unit, in particular:

• Support project management on studies for the Presidencies of the EU and others;
• Assisting in the development of new seminar concepts;
• Contributing to the writing of papers and publications
• Other related tasks. Requirements / profile:
• University degree in political science/economics/international relations/law;
• At least two years of relevant professional experience in an academic, policy or consultancy environment;
• Proven experience in carrying out comparative studies and/or research on relevant subjects; examples attached to the application will be appreciated;
• Knowledge of public administration within the EU Member States;
• Knowledge of the functioning of the European Union, its Institutions and policy-making processes;
• Clear and concise communication skills; examples attached to the application will be appreciated;
• Experience in and affinity for working with people from different cultural backgrounds;
• Demonstrated excellent analytical and organisational skills;
• Excellent PC and internet skills, in particular familiarity with the Windows Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
• Fluency (speaking and writing) in one of the working languages of the Institute and understanding of the other are essential. Knowledge of other European languages will be considered an asset;
• Having the nationality of one of the EU Member States, of the Candidate Countries to the EU, or one of the EEA countries.
