Job Description
The Institute for Studies on Federalism and Regionalism of the European Academy (EURAC) offers the position of a Researcher in the area of federalism, regionalism and governance in multi-layered systems.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Participation in the research work of the Institute, with particular regard to the intergovernmental financial relations (fiscal federalism)
- Cooperation in the Institute's publications
- Raising and managing research projects
- Teaching within the educational program of the Institute
- Cooperation with EURAC's department "scientific communication"
- Organization of international conferences, seminars and meetings
Requirements:
- University degree in law. Other degrees (especially economics) are considered if combined with specialization in comparative legal studies
- Preference will be given to applicants with specialization in fiscal federalism or related subjects
- Capacity of organizing and carrying out research projects autonomously
- Fluency in written and spoken Italian and German
- Good spoken and written knowledge of English is highly desirable. Working knowledge of other languages will be an asset
- Ability to work in team
- Experience in research activities in universities, research institutes or public/private bodies will be an asset

The job interviews will take place in Bolzano in week 35 (25 to 28 August). The shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the interview in week 33 (latest on 13 August 2009).
The position starts as soon as possible with a 6-month contract as Junior researcher with possible renewals for periods of two years. Please indicate the earliest date you could start working in the Institute.
