ECG’s Brussels based Secretariat is currently looking for a full time Research & Projects Manager to join the ECG team in running the Association. The Secretariat is located at the BluePoint Brussels (former Diamant Building) close to Meiser in Schaerbeek, Brussels. See here (

The business language is English and so the minimum requirement is fluency in oral and written English. Other European languages would certainly give you an edge.

You will probably already have experience of project management but certainly you will need to be highly organised and be able to demonstrate an ability to meet and exceed deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Good communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with a wide range of people from many different nationalities.

Specific tasks will include organising some of our most important Working Groups including Capacity Working Group, Eastern Regional Meeting, as well as taking responsibility for managing the production of the biennial ECG Survey on Vehicle Logistics in Europe. See here ( Another key task will be preparing and running the 'ECG Quarterly Survey.' This includes collection, analysis and identification of trends of costs and forecasts for the ECG members' businesses. However, you should be prepared to turn your hand to anything as a key member of a small team which must respond dynamically to the needs of the membership. Clearly you must be a team player yourself to fit in.

Expertise with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a given, but good IT skills in general are a must and you will need to master our CRM system as well as the CMS (Dot Net Nuke) for our website and our webinars.

Previous experience in the automotive sector would be preferred and experience in the field of vehicle logistics would be a major advantage. A certain amount of travel within Europe is required.
